Case Study #2 (Domestic Priority & Power Dart)

The client, a well-known Public Relations company, was incurring extra costs and unnecessary duplication in sending out press releases. The press releases were faxed and sent out to various publications countrywide, as well as to the regional offices who, in turn, sent them to the local publications through a local courier service.

Analysis
The service provider did not have the capacity to update the customer on the status of his releases resulting in the necessity for the customer to resort to back-up services through the fax, his regional offices and the local courier service.

Business Solution
The customer started using Blue Dart's Domestic Priority Services and Power Dart was installed at his premises. Power Dart enabled the customer to have immediate feedback on the delivery of his press releases. The undelivered releases were returned to the customer, which prompted him to correct the wrong addresses in his directory and ensure 100% delivery. Despatches through the regional offices to local publications by courier service were stopped , and the faxes were found to be unnecessary, and discontinued.

The customer's costs per release were reduced by 50% and deliveries were ensured.
