Please note that effective July 2012, Blue Dart has moved to Brent index, as it is a more widely used and is more realistic benchmark of crude oil, for the computation of Fuel Surcharge mechanism.

For every additional USD 3 $ per barrel there will be an increase of 2.5 % in FS.
The above Fuel Surcharge Calculation method in domestic services would be computed based on the Brent index as updated on the site (www.livecharts.co.uk).This method closely links the fuel surcharge to prevailing market prices for Aviation Turbine Fuel, and will help you respond more quickly to changes in fuel prices in the market place.The Average index would be rounded of to the nearest $ to determine the applicable FS
The current surcharge, effective 01 May 2013, is 67.5% on Domestic and Regional Services, and 25.5% on International Services.
