Blue Dart, India's largest integrated air express company, has tied up with China
Airlines. This interline agreement enables the domestic distribution of import loads
for China Airlines.
Blue Dart Express Limited has dedicated bonded warehouse/facilities in the five
metros to facilitate transhipment of bonded cargo. Today, Blue Dart has the only
reliable infrastructure to provide a delivery capability for large volumes of air cargo.
The imports on China Airlines are from Taiwan and consist essentially of computer
parts and peripherals, as well as machinery spare parts.
Apart from this new agreement, Blue Dart Express Limited carries interline cargo for
14 other international airlines like Air India, Air France, Alitalia, Emirates, Singapore
Airlines and Swissair from its five hubs - Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and
Chennai - to and from the gateways of these international carriers.
Blue Dart has pioneered the concept of an all-jet cargo network in India. Its Boeing
737 freighters offer a capacity of 16 tonnes each, enabling the company to provide
overnight delivery for a wide range of shipments to its five hubs and distribution to
11,558 locations in India. This has helped Blue Dart consolidate its market share in
the Indian express industry and emerge as a leading domestic player. Today, Blue
Dart's infrastructure includes two Boeing 737s and a countrywide communication
network, which offers its customers' package tracking and tracing. Blue Dart is the
