Blue Dart signs Interline agreement with South African Airways
|
Mumbai : December 04, 2002
Blue Dart Express Limited, South Asia's largest integrated air express, courier and logistics company, has entered into an interline agreement with
South African Airways. The agreement, effective from November 26, 2002 will provide South African Airways, which operates from Mumbai, with
marketing access to all the other metros in India. The alliance will facilitate movement of South African Airways' shipments to and from these locations through Blue Dart's infrastructure of bonded warehouses and freighters. This is the 20th interline agreement for Blue Dart.
Commenting on the agreement, Ms.Tulsi N. Mirchandaney, Senior Vice President - Marketing & Projects, Blue Dart Express Limited said, "Blue Dart is a total distribution solutions provider, supported by a robust infrastructure and a formidable distribution network. We can carry from a document to a charter load with equal efficiency and quality. Interline carriage is one such domestic service offering to airlines who require higher volumes of space, available only on Blue Dart, to carry shipments into locations to which they do not operate. We are confident that our interline agreement will be a mutually beneficial one and will enable wider customer access to South African Airways' services. "
