Mumbai Ladies Win Blue Dart Best Administrative Practice Award
- Runners up in Nationwide award for Administrative Professionals

Mumbai : April 23, 2003
Blue Dart, South Asia's premier courier and air express package distribution company and the Indian Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals (formerly National Institute of Professional Secretaries) today declared Ms. Seethalakshmi B.K. of EID Parry, Chennai as the winner of the Blue Dart-NIPS 'Best Administrative Practice Award' for 2002. She wins an opportunity to attend a Management Development course at IIM, Bangalore and a personal laptop. The trophies for the runners-up this year went to Ketty Bhathena and Akshata Vichare of Larsen & Toubro, Mumbai.
Announced in Mumbai at the annual Boss-Secretary Lunch co-sponsored by Blue Dart, the award encourages and rewards best practices initiated and implemented by members of the NIPS association in their workplace, and attempts to share this knowledge with the rest of the community.
Speaking at the event, Tulsi Mirchandaney, Senior Vice President - Marketing & Projects, Blue Dart said, "Secretaries today have moved beyond their traditional roles. The Best Administrative Practice Award has been initiated to recognise their changed portfolios and their potential to benefit business through personal development and application. Blue Dart has always believed in the development of people and instituting the Best Administrative Practice Award is another effort towards this endeavour".
Also commenting on the occasion, Homai Mehta, President Emeritus, the Indian Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals said, "This year's theme for Administrative Professionals week is `Power of Professionalism', and Blue Dart's Best Administrative Practice of the year award is a striking example of the power of professionalism. As a consequence, contributions made by secretaries to their respective workplace have been quantified, for the first time perhaps, and will be shared among IASAP member companies all over India. The Best Adminstrative practices shortlisted by the judges are based on four parameters :
i) They ensure personal development
ii) They are sustainable
iii) They have a direct impact on the business and
iv) they can be duplicated across the company.
